Corporate Business Portraits⎮Head-shots
Portraits are used to show a person or a group of people in a way that displays their personality in a sometimes less formal manner than a headshot. These almost candid glimpses of people show the emotions that a standard headshot does not. The focus of the image remains on the person’s face but sometimes the whole body, surroundings, or special props are included to convey a unique mood.
Other types of portrait photography include three-quarter shots, meaning the subject is shown from the thighs up. These longer portraits are typically used to support additional marketing graphics on a web site or in printed materials, such as brochures. Most three-quarter shots are used in Environmental Portraits as they show a snippet of the person’s work or personal environment and can present them as action oriented individuals. In addition, the Environmental Portraits are easily cropped for use in Linkedin, Facebook, and other social media sites.
